Gambrills Residents Charged in Hanover Drive-By Shooting

Police said the homeowner was standing in his driveway at the time when two men drove by and began shooting.

Two Gambrills residents were arrested Monday after firing shots at a Hanover home while the owner stood in his driveway, police said.

Anne Arundel County police charged Gambrills residents Kingsley Anthony McLean, 20, and Kendall Alonzo Govan, 24 with attempted murder and assault in the case.

Officers first responded at about 10:20 a.m. Monday to reports of multiple shots being fired at the 1400 block of Gesna Drive in Hanover. They arrived and spoke to a man who said he was standing in the driveway of his home when two cars drove by, and the occupants fired shots at his home and some cars on the property.

Police got a description of the cars and found them in the 7400 block of Windstream Circle. Officers searched the location and found two suspects in a wooded area near Arundel Mills Boulevard and the Dorsey Road Extension.

No one was hurt.
