Police Investigate Daytime Burglaries in the Crofton Area

The incidents took place at at least three homes and may have been carried out by men posing as utility workers.

Anne Arundel County police said they are investigating several daytime burglaries in the Crofton and Gambrills area. 

Police have received reports of at least three burglaries during the month of May, and that they may involve suspects posing as utility workers. 

Police said they are investigating incidents at the following locations:

  • 2800 block of Carver Road, Crofton
  • 1700 block of Saddle Drive, Gambrills
  • 200 block of Arabian Court, Gambrills 

In all of the cases, police said they received reports of two men wearing reflective safety vests and carrying clipboards. In at least one of the incidents, a homeowner said they saw the men walking to the rear of the house but did not see them return. Later, the homeowner realized a door had been forced open and items were taken from the home.
