Police: Thief Fires Shots, Robs 7-Eleven

The incident occurred early Sunday in the 1000 block of Route 3 North in Gambrills.

Police are searching for a man they say used a gun to rob a 7-Eleven in Gambrills early Sunday morning.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the 7-Eleven in the 1000 block of Route 3 North in Gambrills for a reported robbery that just occurred at about 12:44 a.m. Sunday. 

Officers spoke with an employee that said a male suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money. According to police, the suspect fired a single round from the gun into the ceiling, grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store in an unknown direction.

Multiple officers, a K-9 unit and the Aviation Unit searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
