Shots Fired at Party in Crofton Early Sunday Morning
Police say two groups with an ongoing dispute were at the party and the victim was involved with one of the groups. The 22-year-old victim is reportedly in critical but stable condition.
A shooting took place early Sunday morning after a party in the area of Judicial Way and Lower Court in Crofton, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and observed someone being helped into a vehicle leaving the scene. According to a police release, an officer located the victim around 2:40 a.m. near Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, where the man’s friends attempted to drop him off for treatment.
Police said that the 22-year-old victim was at a party on Lower Court before the shooting took place outside, and two groups with an ongoing dispute were at the party—the victim was reportedly involved with one of the groups.

The victim was later transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for additional treatment and was listed in critical but stable condition as of Monday morning, according to police.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and not believed to be a random act of violence.
