Croftonite Bill Long addressed the CCA Board about his hopes to beef up Crofton’s online presence. The town currently uses a website and email to communicate with residents.

“I think what we have now, this email service, works for now and could stand to be enhanced,” Long said.

Long said he has used the past months to research the pros and cons of using a listserve service such as Yahoo! Groups or a Facebook page. Long added most Internet mass communication options will require a moderator.

Long asked the board for permission to revisit the town’s decade-old Wikipedia entry.

“Somebody took a lot of time out to make this page 10 years ago, but it’s extremely behind now,” Long told the group.

Easter Egg Hunt April 16

The group discussed the need for volunteers for the upcoming Easter egg hunt. The event takes place Saturday at noon outside Town Hall, 1576 Crofton Parkway, in the Crofton Elementary School parking lot.

Volunteers are urged to contact Crofton Town Hall at 410-721-2301.
