Crofton Mom Named Fort Meade Spouse of the Year

Tania Hendrickson was nominated and honored in a program sponsored by Military Spouse Magazine.

A Crofton mother was recently honored as Military Spouse of the Year for Fort Meade by a national magazine. 

The Capital-Gazette reported that Tania Hendrickson was recognized in Military Spouse magazine for her efforts to raise two boys while her husband has been deployed in Afghanistan. Both of her boys have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. 

Hendrickson was nominated by fellow Crofton resident Rebecca Pluta. In her letter nominating Hendrickson, Pluta wrote:

"With such grace, gratitude and love, she meets the myriad of daily challenges that her life as a mom and a military spouse present. Even through her own health problems, she continues to think of and do for everyone else."
