Arundel Junior Shadows Council Exec

Christian Hodges recently took part in the county's Model Student Government Day.

A junior at Arundel High recently spent some time with new County Executive Laura Neuman during a recent meeting with constituents, the Capital-Gazette reported.

Christian Hodges was permitted to shadow the county executive during a two-hour session last month at Northeast High School.

The Capital-Gazette also reported that the event include a mock debate on issues ranging from recycling to synthetic marijuana.

Hodges has shown a keen interest in student government during his time at Arundel. He currently represents the Mid-Atlantic region in the National Association of Student Councils and was recently named a finalist to serve on the Maryland Board of Education.
