Baysox To Announce Contest Winner at Crofton Middle
The winner of the "Read and Hit a Home Run" poster contest will be announced Thursday at Crofton Middle School.
The Bowie Baysox will honor a talented student Thursday at during a rally.
It’s part of the poster contest.
The winner’s poster will be used at schools in Anne Arundel, Howard and Queen Anne’s counties to help get the word out about the Baysox reading program. The Baysox baseball team awards students with one free ticket for every four books they read.

Last year’s Anne Arundel County winner was Janet Cortes from , according to an email from Matt Wilson, communications manager for the Baysox.
The winning student will also have a chance to throw out the first pitch during an Anne Arundel County reading night on May 4 or 5.
