Boys Basketball: Arundel, Meade Head to Region Semis
Arundel defeated Chesapeake 68-45 on Thursday.
Both the Arundel and Meade boys basketball team took a step closer to the state championship Thursday night. The two teams will now face off in the region semifinals on Tuesday.
No. 2 Arundel defeated No. 7 Chesapeake 68-45, and No. 3 Meade topped No. 11 Great Mills 92-91 in a closely contested battle. The Thursday night victories set up and No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown for the local teams next week in the Class 4A boys basketball region semifinals.
The Arundel - Meade game is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Arundel High School.
