VIDEO: Crofton Middle Student Wins Bowie Baysox Contest

There was a surprise ending to a poster contest geared at getting youths to read. Bowie Baysox officials found a creative way reveal the winner at Crofton Middle School.

A student’s artistic abilities won her a chance to show off her athletic agility at an upcoming Bowie Baysox game.

Seventh-grader Caroline Kerr won the Baysox  poster contest. Caroline designed a poster to motivate fellow youths to read and win tickets to Bowie Baysox games.

Baysox mascot “Louie” stopped by the middle school to help surprise Caroline with the news.

The  program rewards students with one free ticket for every four books they read.
