It seems like the kids haven't been in school much recently, but they are gearing up for some fun things in the next month or so. Here's a short update with items from the school newsletters from Crofton schools. February newsletters will be out shortly and will offer even more news in the coming weeks.

If you have a school event you'd like posted on Patch, you can post it directly to our events calendar.

-Crofton Woods Elementary is also gearing up for its STEM Fair. Setup day is Feb. 26, with viewing and judging on Feb. 27.
-Crofton Meadows Elementary and its PTO are looking for volunteers for its Operation Read program, which distributes books to kids. Email cmesvolunteers@gmail.com for more info. Also, if you have a healthy recipe you'd like to share for the school's Good Eats cookbook, email npluchino@aacps.org.
-Crofton Elementary will have a family game night on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
-Crofton Middle School - Yearbooks will be on sale until Jan. 31 for $31. After that, they are $36. Also, rehearsals for the talent show are ongoing every Tuesday and Thursday through Feb. 14.
