AACPS Board of Education Meeting

This month's meeting will include updates on efforts to eliminate the achievement gap and the readiness of schools for the 2011-12 school year. School system officials will also brief the Board of Education on the status of schools as the start of the school year approaches. The board will meet at 8:30 a.m. to vote into a closed session, then open the meeting up to the general public at 10 a.m.

The AACPS Board of Education meets twice a month during the school year, and will hold one meeting per month during the summer. All meetings are open to the public; citizen participation is encouraged. Citizens may comment during agenda items discussions as well as bring non-agenda items to the board during the 30-minute public participation portion of the meeting. To view past meeting minutes, visit the BoardDocs section of the Board of Education tab at www.aacps.org.
