Force 3 Gives Scholarships to Two Local Grads

The scholarships, each totaling $4,000, went to students pursuing study in technical fields.

Crofton-based government contractor Force 3 has awarded two scholarships totaling $8,000 to two local high school graduates pursuing study in a technical field.

Aashi Parikh and Alex Jackson each received $4,000 towards college. Parikh, who recently graduated from Arundel High, will attend the University of Maryland, College Park and study chemical engineering.

While at Arundel, Parikh helped lead an effort to build an education center and book club in a remote section of Kenya.

Jackson, a graduate of Annapolis Area Christian School, plans to attend UMBC to study computer science.

Force 3 said it has given out scholarships for seven years, and has distributed $17,000 to students.
