“I was so impressed with the program that I trained to become a Kumon Instructor myself and opened my own center. Although, there are excellent schools in Anne Arundel County, I felt there was a need for an enrichment program for parents with young children,” said Perdue. She said the Kumon methodology encourages a student to learn at his or her own pace.

“Our mission is simple, we want to make sure all the students in our service area have access to ‘A Dream Education,’” Perdue said in the email.

“At the Crofton Kumon we encourage and motivate our students and give them the tools to become an independent learners. The ability to think independently is one of the most important skills to be successful in advanced studies and in life,” she added.
