Local Students to Perform With Baltimore Symphony
During a special concert on Thursday, highly talented students will get to experience the chance of a lifetime while learning from some of the world's best musicians.
The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will perform alongside several local high school musicians in a special "side-by-side" concert Thursday.
Musicians from Arundel, South River Meade and Old Mill high schools are among the 29 from the county selected to play with the orchestra and receive special instruction.
“This Side-by-Side experience is a real-life experience unlike any other that can be provided to young musicians. To a person, they cite the BSO Side-by-Side experience as the highlight of their high school musical years,” said Amy Cohn, AACPS’ coordinator of music, in a press release.
