NES and CWES Rank High in 24 Game

Nantucket Elementary School and Crofton Woods Elementary School students excelled in a countywide 24 Game Competition.

Several Crofton students placed high during a month-long countywide mathematics contest.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools hosted the annual 24 Game competition in May. The Office of Advanced Studies and Programs held weekend contests at Annapolis High School.

  • Third Grade: May 4
  • Fourth Grade: May 11
  • Fifth Grade: May 18

According to the Advanced Studies and Programs website, the 24 Game uses cards with four digits, fractions, or equations to arrive at an answer of 24.

The website reports Taran Mehta of Nantucket Elementary and Jibreel Ali of Crofton Woods Elementary were among the top performers among fourth grade students, coming just behind the first place winner.
