Q&A: Crofton Middle Student Ellis Carroll

Patch profiles students involved in the school's spring musical that opens on March 16.

students will present , based on the books of children’s author Dr. Seuss. Leading up to the show, Patch will feature profiles with some of the students involved in the production.

Ellis Carroll, 13, answered five questions.

Crofton Patch: What is your character/role in the production?
Ellis Carroll: I am playing the role of Horton the Elephant in Seussical.

Crofton Patch: What is your favorite part of the musical?
Ellis: My favorite part of the musical is when Horton and Gertrude help each other and become friends.

Crofton Patch: Which Dr. Seuss book is your favorite?
Ellis: My favorite Dr. Seuss book is Green Eggs and Ham because it encourages people to try new things, be daring, and not stick to the same old thing all the time!

Crofton Patch: Why should people come to see the show?
Ellis: I think people will really enjoy coming to see the show, because it is very kid-friendly, is full of entertaining songs and dances, and is a fun mix of well-known Dr. Seuss characters and stories that people of any age will like.

Crofton Patch: What would you like to do when you grow up?
Ellis: When I grow up, I want to be a singer, dancer, and actress on Broadway.
