School Board to View New Discipline Policy

Board of Education of Anne Arundel County meets twice a month on Wednesdays.

The Board of Education will meet tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. In addition to receiving recommendations for the redistricting of Ft. Meade Elementary Schools, the board will also take a look at the new student discipline referral policy.

A committee consisting of school system personnel and representatives from the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County and the Association of Educational Leaders, the Anne Arundel County Council of PTAs, and the Countywide Citizen Advisory Committee in the wake of legislation passed by the General Assembly earlier this year, created this new policy.

Wednesday's meeting, like all of the general session meetings, will be broadcast live on AACPS-TV, Channel 96 on Comcast and Broadstripe, Channel 36 on Verizon. It will be rebroadcasted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The board meets at the administration building, 2644 Riva Road, Annapolis.
