Schools to Host Q&A Sessions on Maryland Common Core

The first of four sessions to give parents in Anne Arundel County Public Schools information about Maryland Common Core will be held April 8.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is hosting four informal roundtable sessions over the next six weeks to answer parents' questions on Maryland’s College and Career-Ready Standards (Common Core).

The free sessions, titled “Operation Hopes, Dreams, and Aspirations: A Parent Session on Maryland’s College and Career-Ready Standards,” are intended to bring parents together to both answer questions that they may still have regarding the standards and to share how quality instruction using the standards can enhance student potential to achieve individual goals.

Additionally, parents will gain access to valuable resources that may be utilized to ensure that their individual students remain academically engaged at home during the school year and throughout the summer months.
