SOUND OFF: What Do You Think About the Alleged Sex Assault at AHS?

The Arundel High School community was rocked Tuesday by news of an alleged sexual assault on the campus. Now neighbors are weighing in about what they think about the incident. What do you think? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section.

Neighbors around Crofton-Gambrills continue to weigh in about an alleged sexual assault Monday at (AHS). It’s a afternoon on Odenton Patch and Crofton Patch.

A female student told police she was sexually assaulted in a bathroom, according to an Anne Arundel County police report. Officers later met the alleged victim in Crofton. That’s where she told them she knew the other student.

The incident is under investigation and no charges have been filed.

AHS sent a letter home to parents urging them to talk with their kids about the incident. We have a copy of that document posted on the website.

made this . “The only reason this came to light was because the girl's parents called the police. Consensual sex takes place during 'Wildcat Hour' every day. The students are caught, the parents are called, but no disciplinary action takes place,” said Henderson.

“I'm glad that this is finally being brought to the public eye. This principal needs to be looked at more closely because Arundel High School is not a good, much less ‘banner,’ school,” she added.

Area neighbors are also commenting on the alleged sexual assault on the Crofton Patch Facebook page.

“This is horrible!!! How are we supposed to trust that our students are going to be safe on school grounds when stuff like this is happening?” - Hailey Tolliver 

“I'm guessing because both the suspect and the victim are minors you are not going to get more information than that.” - Leanne Miller 

"This frightens me. I am sure they can't take any sort of actions against the accused until they validate the claim, but it bothers me that they aren't doing more to protect the alleged victim.”- Jenn James
