Two New Principals Take the Reins in Crofton Schools

Crofton Elementary and Crofton Middle will both welcome new principals for the 2012-2013 school year.

and , along with 15 other county schools, will see new leadership this fall, according to a press release issued by Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS).

Ginger Robertson comes to Crofton Elementary after serving as assistant principal at Pershing Hill Elementary in Fort Meade. Former Assistant Principal Nuria Williams will join Crofton Middle as the new principal.

Nantucket Elementary will bid farewell to Amanda Edmonds, as she will take the top spot as principal at Waugh Chapel Elementary.

“I believe these changes make us better as an overall system as we continue along our Journey To Greatness,” AACPS Superintendent Kevin Maxwell said in the press release. “I am excited about the talented group of new principals who have been promoted, and am confident that those principals who are changing locations will be great assets to the new communities, which they will now serve.”

All new principals begin their duties on Wednesday.
