Alec Lemon Making Most of Chances in NFL Camp

CNSHouston.com reports that the former Arundel High wide receiver is impressing coaches and fans at the Houston Texans' preseason camp.

As an undrafted free agent, Crofton native Alec Lemon is simply looking for chance to make the roster with the Houston Texans this season.

The former Syracuse and Arundel High standout has impressed some observers with his wide receiving skills so far this summer, CSNHouston.com reported.

"Through a week of training camp, Lemon has turned into one of the more consistent contributors of the wide receivers and realizes he’s starting to turn the heads of coaches, fans and media," CSNHouston.com's Dave Zangaro reported.

He's managed to impress the team by doing the one thing he did throughout college and high school: catch the football. Zangaro noted one catch, in particular, in which he caught the ball with one hand while fending off a defensive back.

“It’s everyone’s dream to get drafted but not everyone does,” Lemon told CSNHouston.com. “You have to get here some way, so I’m looking at it as a blessing that I’m here.”
