Arundel, South River in Action in Volleyball Playoffs Monday

Also, South River will play Tuesday for the regional girls soccer championship.

The Arundel and South River volleyball teams will be among those in action Monday as the MPSSAA state championship tournament continues. 

Arundel is the defending regional champion and a top seed in the East region. The Wildcats will take on Chesapeake at home Monday. 

South River is also a top seed in the east and will host North Point. In other action, Broadneck will host Leonardtown, while Severna Park takes on Glen Burnie. 

South River to Battle Severna Park in Soccer 

The South River girls soccer team will travel to Severna Park Tuesday for the regional championship game. 

South River advanced last week by outscoring Broadneck 4-2 on penalty kicks in a 2-2 game. Severna Park arrived in similar fashion, winning a 0-0 game over Arundel with a 2-1 edge in penalty kicks. 

Severna Park and South River face off Tuesday at 5 p.m.
