BASEBALL: Arundel, South River Earn Good Playoff Seeds

Arundel is the No. 2 seed in the Class 4A East region, while South River is seeded fourth. Both teams have first-round byes.

The Arundel and South River high school baseball teams earned first-round byes in the upcoming state baseball playoffs.

The Wildcats are the No. 2 seed in the Class 4A East region after finishing the regular season with 10 straight wins.

South River is the No. 4 seed after going 15-5 overall during the year.

Arundel will play the winner of the game between Old Mill and Glen Burnie in the second round.

South River will play the winner between Chesapeake and Great Mills.

North Point High in Calvert County is the top seed in the east region.

Arundel is the defending regional champion.
