Batter Up: Register for Baysox Youth Baseball Camp

Little leaguers can brush up on their batting and ball handling skills this summer with local pros at Bowie Baysox baseball camp. 

Baysox youth baseball camp is for kid ages 7 to 14. Campers will be instructed by Baysox players and coaches, get the chance to play ball on the field at Prince George's Stadium and have opportunities to get autographs from some of the Orioles' top prospects. 

The first session of camp ended in June, but session number two begins on August 13 and there are plenty of spaces open, according to Baysox staff. Pre registration is required and camp is limited to 100 children. 

Camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m August 13 to August 15 at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie. Campers should wear baseball pants, a T-shirt, cleats or sneakers and sunscreen. Water and sports drinks will be provided but campers should bring their own snacks. 

The cost of the three day camp is $149. According to the Baysox website, the package includes: 

• 3 Days of Professional Instruction from Baysox players and coaches
• Baseball Camp T-Shirt
• Baysox hat
• Autograph session with Baysox players and coaches
• Final Day pizza party with Baysox players and coaches

Campers will also receive one box seat ticket for the August 15 Bowie Baysox  vs. the Erie SeaWolves game at 7:05 p.m. Additional tickets for the game will also be available for purchase at a discounted price.
