Arundel's Austin Carroll Commits to Eastern University

The former Arundel High basketball guard signs to play at the collegiate level.

Another Arundel High basketball standout has committed to play at the collegiate level. 

Graduating senior Austin Carroll will play at Eastern University outside Philadelphia, following two years as a starting guard for Arundel, head coach Jeff Starr said. 

Starr said Carroll chose Eastern over several other Division III schools.

Eastern is coached by Nathan Stewart, a former assistant coach at UMBC. 

Carroll played on the Wildcats varsity team for three years, helping the team to a 63-12 overall record and two regular season county championships.

Eastern University is part of the Middle Atlantic Conference, which could mean Carroll will face some former Arundel teammates. David Nicholson has already committed to Widener, while Ryan Hill will play at Stevenson.
