Crofton Native Wins Lacrosse Player of Week at Drexel

Ryan Belka was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week after scoring six goals in two games.

Crofton native Ryan Belka is continuing to earn accolades for his lacrosse skills at Drexel University. 

The sophomore has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week after leading the Drexel Dragons to two wins last week. He scored three goals in each of those games, while also dishing out four total assists.

Belka, who attenda DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, has 10 goals on the year, according to Drexel's lacrosse website. The Drexel Dragons are 3-1 this season, with the team's only loss coming in overtime to No. 7 Virginia.

Belka was previously named the CAA Rookie of the Year in 2012.
