Markiewicz Named Ravens Coach of the Week
The Arundel football coach won $2,000 for the football program and will be honored at the Ravens' game on Dec. 8.
Arundel High football coach Chuck Markiewicz has been named the Baltimore Ravens High School Coach of the Week, following the Wildcats playoff-clinching win over Meade on Friday.
As the 10th winner of the weekly honor this year, Markiewicz will be invited to the Ravens-Vikings game on Dec. 8 where the team will present its Coach of the Year award.
Markiewicz's award comes with a $2,000 donation from the Ravens to Arundel's football program, a certificate signed by Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and a specially designed hat.
Arundel will take on Old Mill in the Class 4A playoffs this Friday at 7 p.m. in Millersville.
