Fitness clubs offer a variety of exercise options for beginner and advanced trainees.

Staying motivated to keep up a workout schedule is one of the hardest things to do for most people, especially when they do it alone.

It seems as if there is always something getting in the way of obtaining a healthier  lifestyle. However, many health clubs offer a variety of classes and workout options to conquer obstacles such as time constraints and boredom.

• Curves: Curves gives its members a complete cardio and strength training workout in 30 minutes. The Curves circuit includes resistance machines that work major muscle groups and can burn up to 500 calories.

According to Curves.com, Curves provides exercise, diet and weight management classes to members and non-members.

• LA Fitness: Features state-of-the-art equipment, a heated lap pool, whirlpool spas and saunas, personal trainers and a juice bar. Workout classes include aerobic basics, belly dancing, hip-hop, mat Pilates, kick-boxing and cycling. On the first day of each month, LA Fitness also offers a sampler class that introduces some of the company's popular formats. No experience is necessary to attend the class.

• Gold’s Gym: This co-ed gym offers health and fitness programs from beginning to advanced training. Some of the classes include Zumba -- a Latin-based group exercise class with low-impact dance moves for a cardiovascular workout and body pump in a group fitness setting -- a weight training workout using barbells with adjustable weights. Also, Gold’s Gym offers a free seven-day VIP pass for first-time visitors and free group exercise classes.
