County Keeps Cooling Centers Open, Lifts Water Restrictions

More than 40,000 homes and businesses in Anne Arundel County are still without power on Monday.

UPDATE (3:15 p.m.)—In response to thousands still without power, cooling centers in Anne Arundel County will remain open on Monday.

On Monday afternoon, Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) still showed more than 40,000 outages in Anne Arundel County on the online outage map. Progress, while seemingly slow to customers without power, is being made with more than 96,000 customers' power restored since Friday.

County Executive John R. Leopold lifted restrictions on water use throughout the county, except for Herald Harbor in Crownsville.
