PR for Crofton Regional Community Center - Sweethearts' Gala on February 18th. Tickets at www.croftonregionalcommunitycenter.net, or at Robert Andrew Day Spa, Minuteman Press, or The Hair Experience.

The Sweetheart's Ball on Feb. 18 is shaping up very well as tickets are sold and auction items are coming in. This is a huge affair with all kinds of glamour and fun designed to make the price of $150 for a couple and $100 for a single person a real bargain for all those attending. And tickets are easy to obtain as we add a new ticket-selling location to our list.

You may pay for your tickets at our website atwww.croftonregionalcommunitycenter.net(through PayPal) or at ,  and at . Many(CRCC) members have tickets to sell as well. Planning is easier when the CRCC knows how many to expect, so don't put it off! Details on this event can be found on the CRCC website. Auction items are still being sought, so please contact John Hollywood about that at (301) 261-3515.

The next CRCC General Meeting is Feb. 1 at  and a large crowd is expected to attend. This meeting is open to the public and it's a good opportunity to see the architect's drawings of the community center and ask your questions and get answers. Come earlier than the 7 pm meeting time to socialize, meet people and order food.

You may also like to give a donation at our Feb. 1 General Meeting to John Hollywood.

Donations can be a pledge to pay over a course of time as well as a one-time donation. Suggestions are to pay a monthly amount or an annual amount. Remember it is tax-free.

In return, you will receive a golden metallic decal saying you support the CRCC.

Your name will also be posted in an upcoming newsletter with our thanks, for all to see (the amount will not be posted).

For a $100 donation, a brick with your name on it will be a part of the paved walk areas around the community center.

For $500, a plaque on a tree will have your name on it.

Ask what will be done to recognize higher donations, or check out our next newsletter or web site for more information on this.

Our goal is to have everyone who lives or works in the Crofton-area to be able to say they have supported the community center and the CRCC efforts. After all, the community center will enable all of its residents and businesses to make use of it. Classes will be for all ages. Activities will be for people of all ages. Remember, the skate park is just one part of the center.

We will also accept in-kind donations that will provide either a person's or company's services, or materials or equipment for use in building or setting up the community center.

Please check out our facebook page (www.facebook/theCRCC) and our web site for more information. You can also join us at the Feb. 1 meeting at Ledo's.
