‘Beans for Troops’ is Back at Caribou

A Village at Waugh Chapel coffee house wants to help troops stationed overseas ring in 2012 with a cup of joe. Now through New Years Caribou Coffee is collecting money to send bags of coffee to servicemen and women.

The Caribou Coffee in the Village at Waugh Chapel is serving up another round of “Beans for Troops.” The program sends coffee to service members through the USO.

More than 450 customers a day visit the Caribou Coffee shop .

To participate, customers donate money through New Years to the project. Caribou will decorate and mail bags of coffee to troops stationed overseas.

The Gambrills shop holds the campaign two to three times a year. The last effort netted 487 pounds of coffee for various branches of military personnel stationed overseas.
