Crofton leaders came together Friday night to honor those who go above and beyond to improve the community.
The Greater Crofton Community Awards honored eight leaders, volunteers and public servants Friday night.
The residents were recognized during the annual Greater Crofton Community Awards Banquet, hosted by the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce Friday night at the .

, Executive Director of the Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce welcomed the guests.
"Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something," was the theme of the night.
Special guests included:

- Councilman Jerry Walker
- Clerk of Court Bob Duckworth
- AA County Sheriff's Department's Rick Tabor
A special citation was presented from the County Executive's Office to the Crofton Community for being selected again as one of the Top 100 Places to Live and Work.
Croftonite and guest speaker, Vice Admiral John Terence Blake reminded the audience as Veterans' Day approaches, to remember and support our troops here and abroad, for the sacrifices they are making for our country.
Wilson ended the evening by congratulating the recipients.
"You've made a difference in our community. It's because of you and others like you that Crofton once again has been selected as one of the Top 100 Places to live and work," sahe said. "You've raised the bar for the rest of us as we leave here tonight ready to go out and make a difference."
