[VIDEO] ‘Salute Our Troops’ Dinner Seeks Funds for Food
A Crofton woman is leading the charge to ring in the holidays for hundreds of active duty service members unable to head home for Thanksgiving. The Fort Meade USO "Salute Our Troops" Dinner needs funds to buy food for Defense Information School troops.
Nicole Orme is heading up the .
On Nov. 22 Orme and an army of volunteers will prepare dinner for 250 to 300 members of the Defense Information School. The location for the dinner has yet to be determined. Orme said they hope to have it on the base.
In order for this massive dinner to work, Orme said the volunteers need funds to purchase food for the event.

Bowie’s has agreed to donate 15 whole turkeys. The volunteers need more funds for additional turkeys with all the trimmings.
