Halloween Events in West County
From haunted races to Michael Jackson, there are a lot of ghoulish events coming up.
"Thriller Night" at Maryland Live!
When: Oct. 31, 5 p.m.
Where: Maryland Live Casino
Details: WHO'S BAD, a Michael Jackson Tribute band, will perform on Halloween night. There will be $75,000 in prizes given away, including costume contest with $2,000 going to the winner.
Kids Halloween Party in Piney Orchard
When: Oct. 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Piney Orchard Community Center
Details: Wear your costumes to this free family event featuring "ghoulish games" and "freaky fun." For Piney Orchard residents only. Advance reservations required. Deadline to sign up is Oct. 21. (410) 672-4273
Trick-or-Treating at the Village at Waugh Chapel
When: Oct. 25, 4-8 p.m.
Where: Village at Waugh Chapel
Details: Bring the kids over for some early Halloween fun. There will also be a family movie, to be determined.
Haunted Trail 5k Fun Run
When: Oct. 26, 9 a.m.
Where: Arundel High School
Details: Support the Arundel cross country team. There will be a 5k race and 1 mile fun run, plus pumpkin painting and free child care for kids under 8. Cost is $20 in advance, or $25 on the day of the race.
Trick or Trunk at Nichols-Bethel Church
When: Oct. 26
Where: Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church
Details: Kids can come in costume and grab some Halloween loot from cars parked in the church lot. Free for everyone.
