I personally bought a puppy from All about Pets in Crofton. I love the puppy with all my heart and he is a good, smart, healthy animal. However, he is not the breed that All about Pets told me he was upon the sale. I was told he was a blue tick beagle. Although I was not given any AKC paperwork, my receipt and bill of sale states that as his breed. Of course when I took him to the vet I was surprised to here otherwise. He is a beagle- bassett hound mix and now that he is 6 months old you can definitely see/hear it in his drooping eyes, his short bony legs, and his very distinct bark.
I am of course upset that All about Pets was dishonest in their sale. I love my puppy regardless of his breed.
Of course, they knew that a mutt/mix puppy wasn't going to fetch them the $500 that I laid out for him, so perhaps that is why they embellished on his breed they did.
All about Pets, in my opinion has poor customer service and dishonest sales tactics. Be leery...

We have been very pleased with the service we have received at All About Pets. I am not a professional in animal care, but I have owned dogs for most of my life and have maintained tropical fish tanks in my home as a child and adult. Every time I visit this store, the owner and her staff have offered professional, knowledgeable advice about caring for our dogs and fish.
Our animals are like family to us. They live in our home with us, so I wouldn't trust just anybody with their care. We have a vet that looks after the health of our dogs, but we rely on All About Pets for all our other pets' needs.
As a matter of fact, we no longer vist Pet Smart for our services like bathing and grooming or to purchase supplies for our pets. We get it all at All About Pets. I was happy enough with Pet Smart, but I felt a more personal connection from the staff at All About Pets. The first time I walked in the door, they treated me with respect and kindness.
When I find a good service, I continue to use it. I am very happy with All About Pets and will recommend them to anybody with confidence.

I must say I do not work there so they are not my animals. I have bought many pets and supplies at this location with good results and feelings everytime. As for it being a puppy mill as you feel I must say noway. I guess at the shelter you donot use any cages to house the smaller animals? Many owners have cages in there home to house their pets. My mother worked for the P.G. and Montgonery County shelters and did training at Pet Smart and also private sessions. She did rescue work for them also and evey dog she got was cage trained! As for Pet Smart not selling puppies or kittens, well the one on Defense Hwy has them in their store as we speak! Yes they do shelter sales also. If this store is doing something wrong, then how do they always pass the inspection by animal control, permits and inspections and other inspections? If they are doing wrong then fine. Maybe you should just not go to theese stores if you feel they are in violation of standards. Maybe your efforts would be better spent on the stray pets that are being harmed and start backround checks so people like what happened in Baltimore cannot adopt cats and kill them! As for selling pets for profit, why do breeders sell their animals for such high prices?
