I needed last minute care for a child the week before school started and Crofton Children's Centre happened to have an opening. While we were only there 1 week I had such a positive experience that I felt the need to search out review sites and let others know. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming for both myself and the child enrolled. I cannot describe how much I enjoyed dealing with who I thought was the director but turns out is the owner, Ellen (who was there at some point every day that week- with any business that shows a commitment to the quality of your product in my opinion). In speaking with her several times that week I felt she was sincerely concerned about the children in her care. She read the child I had enrolled spot on after less than a week which tells me she took the time to get to know that child even though we were not going to be enrolled long. There was so much I liked about this place- every morning we were greeted by the staff we came in contact with, the teachers in the room made an effort to engage the child I left in their care, when I had questions they were more than accommodating; they helped ease my chaotic, last minute situation and were so helpful I just can't thank them enough. Daycare in general is very expensive (although their rates seemed to be a little bit less than other area daycares I spoken to) but this place would absolutely be worth it. I hope we can afford to return next summer for the whole summer!
