The Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Association is a trade association whose active members consist of daily and non-daily newspapers. The group has two components, the first being a non-profit association and the second the for-profit MDDC Press Service, which handles the association's advertising programs.

Services to members include advertising and awards programs, lobbying, job listings and professional development. Member newspapers also receive the MDDC Press News association newsletter six times a year. The group has  a staff of five and is governed by an 18-member board of directors.
