Crofton Woods Elementary School is an Arts Integration School where teachers emphasize the connection between the artsMore and the curriculum, enabling students to make connections in the real world. The school also highlights instruction in the STEM (Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology) fields. At the beginning of the 2010/2011 school year, Crofton Woods completed a new kindergarten wing as well as a project that converted open-space classrooms to enclosed classrooms and created an enclosed media instructional area with two resource rooms.

Crofton Elementary School caters to students in grades K through 5. Founded in 1969, the schoolMore has undergone two fairly recent renovations -- one in 1999 and another in 2004. The PTA is active and offers a forum for parents to share information and concerns. The principal says that Crofton Elementary School places a high value on education and dedicates itself to the students and their activities. Those activities include a book fair, a fall Haunted Halls/Monster Mash, family fun fairs and holiday themed activities. The school  partners with the nearby Crofton Convalascent Care Center to make seasonal cards and decorations for the center's residents.
Crofton Childrens Centre

A long driveway off of Defense Highway leads to the Crofton Childrens Centre. This pre-school sits far back from theMore main road and has a large outdoor playground. It has been serving children in the community for close to 20 years. The center says that its mission is "to stimulate the child's natural ability to learn by providing an environment that prepares children for success in school and life." School-age children who attend the nearby Crofton Woods elementary school can be picked up or dropped off for before/after school care.
