South River's State Championship Comeback, By the Numbers

South River senior Andrew Wildermuth covered the state championship game and gathered first-hand statistics from the matchup. Wildermuth submitted the following article to Patch. The South River Boys Lacrosse team claimed its second Maryland 4A/3A State title in four years as they rallied past the Westminster Owls—overcoming a 7-0 deficit to start the game and winning it 10-8 as the final whistles sounded. After the Owls built tremendous momentum throughout the first and second quarters, Tyler White netted the first Seahawk goal with 4:30 remaining in the first half.
