The former Arundel High quarterback earned the conference's top honor after another strong season at Delaware State.
Former Arundel High School quarterback Nick Elko has been named the MEAC player of the year, after leading the conference in passing yards. The Delaware State quarterback helped lead the Hornets to a 6-5 record after the team was picked to finish dead last in the conference. Elko averaged 257 passing yards per game, completing 259 passes on 412 attempts and throwing 15 touchdown passes. He finished his four-year career at Delaware State with 5,754 passing yards.
