Trek4Tech Raises Money for CMS
Running enthusiasts and families seeking fun gathered at Crofton Middle School to raise money for technology purchases.
Four hundred sixty-four people participated in the second annual Trek4Tech Saturday June 4 to help Crofton Middle School raise money for technology purchases. Runners participated in a 5K off road race or a 1 K fun run. Participants also enjoyed other activities, such as games, face painting and launching rockets. “It’s been very successful,” said Erika Cornett, treasurer of the Crofton Middle School Parent Teacher Organization, which organized the Trek4Tech. “We had great community support,” she said. “The volunteer support was wonderful,” said Monette Bailey, Trek4Tech co-chair. “Everytime we needed something, people would step up,” she said.
