A little girl had seizures while playing in the Crofton Country Club pool on Sunday.
A 3-year-old girl experienced seizures while playing in the Crofton Country Club pool at about 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, according to Lt. Cliff Kooser of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. She was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center and her condition is unknown at this time, Kooser said.

The Dave Espie Charity Golf Tournament is hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club.
The Crofton Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club will co-host the 21st annual Dave Espie Charity Golf Tournament on Monday. Tee time is scheduled for noon at the Crofton Country Club, with a 5:30 p.m. dinner to follow. Proceeds from the event will go to the Crofton Caring Council. Space is still available for those interested in participating in the golf portion of the event. The cost is $160 for the entire event, as there is a maximum of 144 spots available to golfers. Seats are also available for just the dinner portion of the evening. Those seats cost $30. Registration for the tournament will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday. The Crofton Country Club is located at 1691 Crofton Parkway.

Hundreds of people came out for Saturday's Festival on the Green at the Crofton Country Club.
The weather was a littly chilly, but hundreds of locals made it out for the Festival on the Green on Saturday. Held at the Crofton Country Club and presented by the Crofton Chamber of Commerce, the event feature numerous vendors, plenty of food, live music and lots of fun. Golfers and South River sports fans will take part in a massive fundraising event on April 16 to support all Seahawks teams.
South River High's sports booster club is seeking golfers and sponsors to attend its second annual golf tournament at the Crofton Country Club on April 16. Created as a massive fundraising event to benefit all athletic teams at South River High, the golf tournament is the single biggest event of the year held by the high school sports boosters. Sharon Puckett, a coordinator for the South River High sports booster committee, said participants don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy the event. The day-long event will start with some time at the driving range, followed by a round at the Crofton Country Club. A Gambrills teen and former Davidsonville Recreation League lacrosse player will represent Maryland in a national competition.
Neil Donahue of Gambrills has been selected for the National Lacrosse Classic Maryland Prep regional team. The Archbishop Spalding High School junior has been named a 2011 High School Underclassmen All-American. This is Donahue’s second time trying out for the NLC. “It proved something to myself. I proved that I could do it,” Neil said. “It gave me a lot more confidence.” Neil started playing lacrosse when he was 11 years old for the Davidsonville Recreation League. “We’re very excited. Neil took it upon himself to move to a level beyond high school,” said his father, Patrick Donohue. Neil is an active student athlete.
