Wednesday Movies Benefit 'Grants 4 Teachers'

Movies for just $2 shown on Sept. 12 at the new Gambrills theater will benefit the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and its Grants 4 Teachers program.

The excitement is building for the Friday grand opening of the new movie theater in Gambrills and preview events allow residents to get a peek inside, catch a flick for just $2, and help local nonprofits. The theater is the latest opening following Bed, Bath & Beyond, Starbucks (with a drive-thru) and the Greene Turtle at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre. The movies on Wednesday, with shows starting as early as 11:20 a.m. and running as late as 10:10 p.m., will benefit the Grants 4 Teachers program of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC). I'm on the Severna Park Patch and I checked my history all the way back to September 4th. No post in regards to this going on. I check my email everyday. If it was posted I missed it. Movie Theater Announces Preview Show Times, Grand Opening

The new Regal Waugh Chapel Stadium 12 and IMAX theater in Gambrills will host preview shows starting Sept. 10, and the grand opening will be on Sept. 14.

Regal Entertainment Group announced details Thursday about upcoming preview events and the grand opening at the movie theater at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre in Gambrills. “Right in the center of this town center is our new state-of-the-art Regal Cinemas which includes the impressive IMAX Experience,” stated Russ Nunley, Regal Entertainment Group vice president of marketing and communications in a press release. “Regal Entertainment Group is thrilled to open this remarkable entertainment destination for the moviegoers of Anne Arundel County.” To see all the stories about Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, click here.
