Crofton Woods Elementary Says Goodbye to Veteran Teacher
Sherrie McSweegan retires
Faculty and staff gathered recently to give Sherrie McSweegan a proper farewell. After 28 years of teaching, McSweegan is retiring from Crofton Woods Elementary. She has been a CWES third grade teacher for many years. In the mid-1990’s, McSweegan was the PTA President at Crofton Woods when (now retired) Zimmer told her about an opening at his school in kindergarten. The rest is “history.” She knew she wanted to be part of the faculty. "It was a distinct pleasure having Sherrie McSweegan on the staff at Crofton Woods throughout most of my tenure at the school. Not only was she able to consistently and positively address academic achievement for students in the third grade, but for all students through her leadership within the School …
