Fire Victim Remains in Critical Condition
There were no working smoke detectors in the Crofton home. Firefighters rescued a 52-year-old from the second story bathroom on Tuesday
A woman who was rescued from a fire in a Crofton townhome on Tuesday remains in critical condition at a Baltimore hospital with severe burns and smoke inhalation, a fire department spokesman said. The 52-year-old victim was transferred to the burn unit at Johns Hopkins Bayview, after initially being treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center, according to Division Chief Keith Swindle of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Firefighters responded to a fire at the 1800 block of Foxdale Court in Crofton, and rescued the unconcious woman from a second-story bathroom. Swindle said investigators did not find any working smoke detectors in the home. Investigators said the fire caused about $60,000 in damage. The cause of the fire remains …
