After 10 years with Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Ginger Roberson is excited about becoming principal of Crofton Elementary.
Crofton Elementary School’s new principal Ginger Robertson does not like to use the word “challenges” when discussing obstacles or difficulties she or her staff may face educating the youth of Anne Arundel County. “I like to use the words ‘learning opportunities,' ” she said. Robertson is eager to bring this positive, can-do attitude along with her hard work, dedication, and 10 years of experience in Anne Arundel County Public Schools to her new position, where she hopes to inspire a love of learning in all her students. “I love learning myself and I think that will transpire to the students and the community,” Robertson said. Nuria Williams, former assistant vice principal of Annapolis Middle, began her job as Crofton Middle principal June 27.
With 12 years of education experience under her belt, Crofton Middle School’s new principal Nuria Williams hopes to bring her strength as an instructional leader to her new position. A self-described "people person," Williams is also looking forward to working with the parent and educator community in Crofton, and building positive working relationships so they can all do what is best for the kids. “I am a student-focused person,” said Williams. “I believe in being teacher supportive and working collaboratively with all stakeholders.” Because of her own love of learning and instruction, Williams also hopes to provide the teachers of Crofton Middle with professional development opportunities and give them the right tools to reach all of …

Crofton Elementary and Crofton Middle will both welcome new principals for the 2012-2013 school year.
Crofton Elementary and Crofton Middle, along with 15 other county schools, will see new leadership this fall, according to a press release issued by Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS). Ginger Robertson comes to Crofton Elementary after serving as assistant principal at Pershing Hill Elementary in Fort Meade. Former Annapolis Middle School Assistant Principal Nuria Williams will join Crofton Middle as the new principal. Nantucket Elementary will bid farewell to Amanda Edmonds, as she will take the top spot as principal at Waugh Chapel Elementary. “I believe these changes make us better as an overall system as we continue along our Journey To Greatness,” AACPS Superintendent Kevin Maxwell said in the press release. “I am excited …
