Snow Falling in Crofton Monday Morning

Crofton residents woke to see snow falling and accumulating. Let us know what you're experiencing.

Wintry weather is expected in the area on Monday morning, with as much as 2-4 inches of snow possible, according to forecasts.  Snow was expected to roll in sometime around 4:30 a.m. to the Crofton area and continue through much of the day. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect.  Temperatures will be near the freezing mark, suggesting that roadways may remain relatively uncovered. However, before sunrise Monday, it did appear that snow was not only falling heavily, but accumulating.  It's worth noting that wet and icy road conditions caused serious problems in the area last month.  The State Highway Administration said it deployed 2,700 crews to treat and clear roadways Monday morning.  Public schools are already closed due to spring …

Winter Storm May Affect Region This Weekend

Forecasters are calling for a wintry mix in Anne Arundel County that could include snow on Saturday morning.

Anne Arundel County — and much of the region — could be in for another dose of winter weather this weekend, depending on how an approaching storm shapes up. The National Weather Service warns that a system moving in from the southeast "will likely impact portions of the Mid-Atlantic Saturday and Saturday night." "At this stage, rain or snow is possible depending on the storm track," it adds. The latest forecast for the area calls for light snow starting Saturday morning, then switching over to just rain by early afternoon. Snow may slip back into the picture Saturday evening as temperatures drop again. Temperatures will be right near the freezing mark, so there snow and rain totals will vary depending on the location. PHOTOS: Snow Blankets Crofton, Gambrills Overnight, Activities Canceled

Saturday's temperatures are not expected to get out of the 30s.

Around an inch of snow, and in some places more, fell across Maryland overnight, according to NOAA. The light dusting has canceled all Anne Arundel County Public Schools activities Saturday. According to The Weather Channel, Saturday's high temperature will only reach the upper 30s, with freezing rain possible later on. Do you have photos of the snow?
