On January 11, 2013 Mr. John Barzal from Crofton Woods Elementary was off to a challenging day to partcipate in the A+ Bonus rewards contest for Giant Food. Karen Smith, the Giant Food cooridinator for Crofton Woods Elementary, expressed, "this was a challenge to pick a date, time, and make it happen!". Mr. Barzal took a challenge on a very busy scheduled day to participate. The contest challenge is represented by Giant Food A+plus bonus rewards program to receive an additional $1,000.00 for the schools rewards progam. Mr. Barzal set out to challenge students from Vuong's Martial arts. Mr. Barzal started off by departing on the bus with students from Crofton Woods Elementary to face his challenge. Upon arrival, Mr. Barzal participated in a taekwondo class, sparing, and board breaking. Thank you Master Chien, students, and staff for making this happen.
